Why a Plan Works

The best training plan in the world means nothing if you can’t stick to it.

After years working with Olympic rowers and national team Nordic skiers, the pattern is always the same: it’s not the hardest workouts that make athletes fast. It’s the ones they do — consistently, week after week, even when life gets complicated.

Research shows it takes about 66 days to turn a new training behaviour into a real habit. A plan is what gets you through those 66 days. Something that decides what today is for so you don’t have to, that still expects something of you on the mornings your motivation doesn’t show up, and that keeps the big picture clear when you’re too tired to see it.

That matters even more when you train across several sports. The running, the riding, the swimming, the trail days and the ski tours all apply a load, and they all have to be accounted for in the same week. A plan is what turns them into one coherent progression instead of four competing ones.

01

Personalized Plan

Built around your sports, your schedule, and your goals — not a generic template. We start by getting clear on what you're training for, and why it matters.

02

Consistent Accountability

Day-by-day programming with two or three key sessions a week, each with a clear purpose — so showing up stops being a decision you have to make every morning.

03

Confidence at the Start Line

Race day, summit day, or just the next hard workout — you'll show up knowing you've done the work, and that it was the right work.

I’ve served as Sport Physiologist with the Canadian Sport Institute and Rowing Canada’s NextGen Integrated Support Team, and coached elite, masters, and varsity Nordic skiers. The same principles that guide national team programming are the foundation of every plan written here.

Coming Back From Something?

Training looks different when you’re rebuilding.

Returning from an injury, surgery, pregnancy, postpartum, or a long stretch away needs real expertise, careful progression, and a plan that treats the comeback as its own goal — not a delay before the “real” training starts.

Plans & Pricing

Custom plans, and the support around them.

Start with a plan written for your goal, your sports, and the time you actually have. If the season shifts underneath you, there’s a way to rebuild it. And if you’d rather run something self-directed, the strength plans stand on their own.

Mid-Plan Revisions

$95

30-minute call + rebuild

Things change. A race gets added, illness costs you three weeks, a niggle shows up and the plan in front of you no longer matches the body you're in. Book a call and I'll rebuild the remainder around where you actually are — not where the plan assumed you'd be.
